An original painting on wood
in a handmade oak frame, ready to hang
65cm x 65cm
Filled with symbolic creatures, the Tree of Life is a symbol of connection, growth and the invisible threads between one life and another.
The limited palette of chalky earth tones, deep black and muted ochre gives the painting an aged quality, while the marks and texture of the wooden surface become part of its story.
Richly textural the elements appear as if etched from chalk or stone.
A painting about connection and belonging, the natural world, and the stories we have always created to understand our place within it.
